Mission Statement The mission of Prairie View Christian Camp is to provide the setting and program whereby youth and adults are influenced the message of Jesus Christ toward life changing decisions. Statement of Faith 1) We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man. They are the infallible Word of God and His revelation of Himself to all of creation and the authoritative rule of faith and conduct for mankind. 2) We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in Him miracles, and in His victorious and atoning death through His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory. 3) We believe in baptism by immersion as taught in the New Testament. Therefore, all who repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior should seek to be baptized. 4) We believe that the local church is the only "organization" that has the God ordained authority to ordain men into the Gospel ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ and that every Christian and every Christian worker should be submissive to its authority and active in its work. Core Values 1) Exalt Jesus Christ Philippians 2:10-11 - that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Honoring Jesus is everyone's highest calling. 2) Practice excellent stewardship Psalm 89:11 - The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth; you founded the world and all that is in it. We seek to be above reproach in our dealings with finances, people, opportunities, and other resources for the Kingdom. 3) Provide excellent hospitality Matthew 25:40 - "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' People leave their homes to come here. We want them to leave here knowing that they were treated well and loved in the name of Jesus, with a clean and safe facility, and by people who are gifted at hospitality and servanthood. 4) Pursue continuous improvement I Corinthians 12:31 - But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way. We are either growing or we're dying. We choose to continuously and passionately seek God's wisdom and the wisdom of others in camp ministry as we strive for effectiveness and excellence. We choose growth. 5) Nurture healthy relationships Matthew 22:37-39 - Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. Our God is relational. He instructs us to honor Biblical authority and to relate to each other with humility and love.
